Horizon Cat Cruises operates private catamaran charters on the Gold Coast Broadwater, departing from Marina Mirage, Main Beach QLD. Cruise routes cover the Gold Coast Broadwater, Wave Break Island, South Stradbroke Island, and the Surfers Paradise skyline. All routes are tailored to the group and can be combined into custom itineraries. Minimum charter duration is 3 hours.

    Broadwater Scenic Loop

    Glide through calm Broadwater waters past marinas, sandbanks, and luxury homes. With no need to stop, this is a smooth and scenic way to enjoy the coastline.

    👉 Best for: corporate groups, relaxed birthdays, sunset sessions.

    Wave Break Island Stop

    Drop anchor at Wave Break Island—calm, shallow waters made for swimming, paddleboarding, and lounging on the lily pad. The beach is just a step off the stern ladder, making it an easy, fun stop for hens, families, or active groups.

    South Stradbroke Island Escape

    A more secluded vibe. South Straddie offers stretches of sand, clear waters, and a slower pace away from the main channels. Think beach picnics, champagne toasts, or a peaceful afternoon dip.

    Sunset & Skyline Loop

If this is your first time booking a boat, don’t stress. Horizon makes it easy and fun; a private celebration that feels effortless.

  • Bring your drinks (wine, beer, champagne, mixers), food or platters if you’d like, swimmers, towels, sunscreen, and anything personal like party decorations.

  • No! You’ll need to plan and bring ice We do provide two large eskies, perfect for beer, champagne, and wine bottles. (As a guide: each esky fits approx. 60–80 cans or 30–40 bottles.)

    Bringing your drink pre-chilled is recommended.

  • Yes. Horizon is fully BYO. You’re welcome to bring champagne, wine, cocktails, or platters. We’ll keep everything chilled and ready to serve.

  • Swimming is safe and easy at Wave Break Island and Stradbroke. Broadwater and Skyline loops are more cruise-style routes without swim stops.

    • Sunscreen & hats (it’s bright out there!)

    • Towels if you’re swimming

    • Shoes you can slip off easily

    • Your drinks & food (unless arranged catering)

  • Yes. Horizon Cat has two onboard bathrooms where guests can change in privacy after swimming or before heading out for post-cruise celebrations

  • Absolutely. Many groups pair Wave Break for a swim with a Broadwater cruise home at sunset.

  • We sail rain or shine, but if conditions are unsafe, we’ll work with you on rescheduling or adjusting the route.

  • All charters depart from Marina Mirage, Arm C Berth 12, 74 Seaworld Drive, Main Beach QLD 4217. Free parking is available at the marina. The departure point is approximately 5 minutes from Surfers Paradise and 10 minutes from Broadbeach.
